Programme for Advancement of Youth and Society (PRAYAS) is a grassroots-level local initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable development at the village level by engaging youth and communities.
PRAYAS believes that young people are at the heart of rural development. Their creativity, energy, passion, and spirit of volunteerism can become powerful drivers of positive and sustainable change. Through locally planned and implemented initiatives, PRAYAS works to empower youth and strengthen communities.
Education is one of the key pillars of our work. We believe that limited access to education and awareness among young people can contribute to many social challenges. Therefore, PRAYAS strives to provide educational opportunities and support to as many young boys and girls as possible.
Gender equality is a core value of PRAYAS. We are committed to creating equal opportunities for young women and men and encouraging their active participation in community development.
PRAYAS also provides career counselling and guidance to help young people identify the right opportunities, channel their potential positively, and build a better future.
